What is our Whole Body Approach?

We know, we talk about this a lot. But our whole body approach is the foundation of everything that we do at Fixology. So what does it mean?

One body, many traumas

Your body will experience all sorts of physical and emotional trauma in your lifetime. Sometimes you hold onto trauma as a ‘restriction’, that your body will work to heal and compensate for in its own way.

This means that you may feel a symptom for one thing, but it’s actually related to something else.

Getting to the root cause

We take ‘the long way round’ with our Fixology assessment, which doesn’t mean it takes ages. It’s a more thorough approach in which we take your full history and investigate what’s going on. We stay open-minded until we’ve got there, because we’re looking to treat the root cause, not just the symptoms.

Long-term, this leads to a far more robust solution, helping you live your life fully and confidently, optimising your body and movement.

After many attempts to find a way to make a difference to my long-term back issues, I honestly think that Ruth is one of the most innovative and thorough physiotherapists in her treatment regimes.
I really appreciate how Ruth treats the whole body, rather than just the supposed issue that she is presented with. By assessing fully at each visit and adapting treatment accordingly, my excruciating back pain was alleviated after just a few treatments.

More importantly, the exercises and ongoing support have kept me pain free and with much improved posture. Ruth comes with my highest recommendation.
